Wonder Woman Inside

We all have a little Wonder Woman inside. I remember as a kid I loved to wear my Wonder Woman Underoos. They were my favorite. I used to feel like I could take on the world. All superheroes wear boring regular clothes on top of their superhero costumes. I want to feel like that again. I want to think of myself as a super intelligent, beautiful Goddess with divine wisdom and strong moral sense. I want enhanced vision, hearing, speed and strength. Most of all, I want super-human agility so I can fight each day with no rest.

Like most women, I am a superhero in many aspects of my life, saving the world on a daily basis. I try to help everyone I meet.” Every single day I give with every ounce of my being to help others “I try to be a super mom, wife, sister, daughter, friend, therapist, maid, chauffeur, etc… “I work full time and volunteer at my children’s schools. I drive back and forth to school, work, and practices. I try to cook and eat healthy meals. I try to keep the sink empty and the yard looking nice. Yet, I beat myself up when I cannot seem to keep the house sparkling or the laundry baskets from over flowing. It seems no matter how hard I try I can never seem to get those darn thank you cards out. I really struggle to squeeze in time to exercise. How does Wonder Woman stay so fit.

On the plus side, my intuition serves as my own “Lasso of Truth”. I have learned to trust my gut more, it is usually right. Meanwhile I am trying to do it all and serve the greater good with the patience and grace of a Goddess. I really do have more patience than I ever thought possible. I really try to treasure the little things. The precious moments of my children’s laughter. The first sip of warm coffee in the morning. The way the morning dew sparkles in the sunlight. I was giddy like a school girl when Lynda Carter, the woman I idolized as Wonder Woman (aka Diana Prince) followed me Twitter. I think we all have a little Wonder Woman inside. I just don’t have the invisible plane.
